Never settle for less.

At times, i think to myself about some of the friends i've made or even had. I would always think why did we stop talking..? Was it something that i've done? Especially those that i've actually grown close to and he/she was someone special to me. Sometimes i'd feel like i was the one who actually caused the drifting. Slowly, i am starting to understand that no matter how far they wander, if they truly cared, they'd eventually gravitate back towards me. Although yes, some people just leave and never return but i guess that's when you'll know if they really cared? Actually admitting to yourself that the particular person doesn't care as much for you as you have for him/her sucks, yes i understand. You might even feel somewhat betrayed and would think how stupid you were to actually think you meant something to them.

At the same time, think about it. If someone really loves you or genuinely cares for you, they would always find/make time for you no matter what. They would pop out once in a while to check how you're doing, how you're holding up. Remember to never settle for less. Beating yourself up because of a failed friendship/relationship wouldn't make things easier. More so, make things worse. It takes two hands to clap. It doesn't matter how much effort you put in, if the person on the receiving end is doing nothing but receiving, there's nothing you can actually do.

Pretty sure 16 year old Rachel would be devastated to know just who were those who left. Because she had no idea or never believed that the people closest to her then, would've been gone by now. Especially those who felt like they would be by her side forever.

Remember to never settle for less.
