That's okay

Hey there bunnies! I know my previous post was kinda just asking you guys to help with my project and all. But really thank you guys so much!! Those that have followed and liked *hugs*. Sometimes i wonder if there are really people reading my blog or just me kind of talking to myself. But at the same time it's nice to have a platform to just express my feelings, emotions and just to remember these moments in my life.

I don't think i should actually be writing a blog post now because i have an accounting test tomorrow and am supposed to be studying... Math has NEVER been my forte. Its like when i was born, the ability to comprehend mathematics was stripped from me in whatever way possible. Don't get me wrong, i can do basic math and all but when it comes to all that confusing stuff, my brain just says "nope! Ain't gonna understand it, ain't gonna do it." From what i can remember, in primary school i was still doing fairly well, like i wasn't flunking my math really badly or anything. Until i was primary 4. I remember this really distinctively. CA1, for the first time in my math life, i actually got 90/100. Like wow. Even my mum said "Are you sure that's your paper?" HAHA. Yes, my math was really that bad. In CA2, for some reason, my math dropped like crazy. From getting 90/100 for CA1 to 51/100 for CA2. It was from that moment onwards, math was my worst nightmare. Since that exam, i've always gotten borderline pass or fail for my math.

So, tuition was then introduced. Cause y'know PSLE was somewhat around the corner and maybe failing mathematics wasn't the best thing to do back then. Well, i survived PSLE with a C hahaha. Then we went on to secondary school. It was all fine in secondary 1&2 like suddenly i could do math for once. I was getting A1s for my tests and exams so i thought maybe i COULD do math! I was soooo wrong. When we advanced to secondary 3, math was then split into 2. Elementary mathematics and additional mathematics. I guess i was surviving pretty well for my Emath but ho ho ho, Amath was literally sucking the life out of me. I could never understand anything the teacher said and i would fail miserably for my exams. Throughout secondary 3&4, i've never ONCE passed my Amath exams. It would always be the same grade : F9. No matter how hard i tried and how much effort i put into it, i just can't see results. I guess i never gave up? Plus the help of tuition of course, I actually passed my Amath eventually in my O'levels. (Also with the help of my dear friends who helped me with Amath and wanting to strangle me alive in the process.)

So yes, moral of the story: Rachel can't do math for nuts. I've always been more of a language and humanities person so i guess that's why i really suck in math? With that said, wish me good luck for my accounting test tomorrow! HAHA. Also, even though you keep failing at something, don't give up! You're bound to see the fruits of your labour and its okay to not be the best in everything. And i'm gonna leave you guys with that! I'd better go do some studying hahaha. Till next time!

Much love,
Rach xoxo

I need your help!!

Hey there bunnies!! I know i haven't been updating recently, but i really hope you guys will understand because i've a whole load of projects and assignments to complete and the amount of work to do is slowly piling up and i'm feeling rather stressed over the many projects and assignments out of a sudden because they are all starting to creep in. Not to mention they are all happening at the same time and i have to complete all of them by almost the same week. BUT! I'm not here to ramble on and on about how dreadful my life is right now because i know that's not gonna help me in anyway, so i'm here to ask for you guy's help! I need a small favour from all of you.

So here it goes:
I am currently having a Social Media Marketing (SMM) project that requires us to be in groups and to work with actual companies, actual clients. So my group's client for this semester will be Beauty Space! It's a small little cosy beauty parlour located in Marine Parade Central. So here's the thing i need your help with. Its really easy. You just have to follow Beauty Space's Instagram account (because i will be taking over their instagram until my project ends hehe!) and like their 2 latest pictures as well as the next few posts that i will be posting on behalf of Beauty Space! Easy right!! 2 steps that's it. 1. Follow beautyspace.sg 2. Like their 2 latest posts and their subsequent new posts! AND, when my project ends, you guys can then choose whether to continue following them or not! Simple ya? HAHA. Please help me okay guys!! I'll really appreciate it!! I promise i'll post pretty pictures okay! Haha!

Here's the link to their instagram account: beautyspace.sg

Q&A 2!!

Hey there bunnies!! I'm back with another Q&A post since i've received quite a few questions. ENJOY!!

1. Can I still ask?

HAHA. Yes! You still can ask! Please, be my guest(:

2. How many faq have you received?

Hmm, currently i've around 50 in total? haha so yes, i will try my best to answer them all for you.

3. Have you been in relationship b4?

Truth be told, yes(?) but at the same time no.. Its a long story for another time haha.

4. Rachel, what's your Chinese name?

HAHA. My Chinese name is 吕嘉敏, Lui Jia Min.

5. Are you still close with your "Geography" group?

We aren't exactly super close any more, obviously because all of us are all in different schools and all but don't get me wrong, we're still really good friends!!(:

6. Why do u take so many selfie?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I actually think i don't take many selfies.. Like i would rarely take selfies unless i'm having a good hair day or i just think i look good that day. If not, i rarely take selfies i only take them with my friends haha. If you think i take a lot, you must not know my friend KahYing HAHAHA. :P But also, i guess its like a girl thing to take selfies?.. no? HAHA. I still choose to believe i'm in the normal zone... HAHA

7. What's your personality profile?

Wow. That's quite a deep question.. Hmm.. What's my personality profile... I guess i would say that i'm usually smiling all the time, always very cheery, but could get emotional really quickly. I feel like i am a really sensitive and emotional person and sometimes things get to me too easily. I love laughing actually like i like being around people who make me smile/laugh (like who doesn't right?)  i think i went off topic but yes. Thats my personality profile. HAHA

8. What is something you love doing with your friends?

Hmm, I love just hanging out, going shopping, maybe just sitting somewhere and just talking, eating and watching movies!! OH and also, going to theme parks!!

9. Your surname is so special!! also, love reading your blog!

Aww! I don't think this is a question but, aww thank you so much!! And about the surname haha meh i think i've seen more special surnames! HAHA.

10. What are the 3 things you miss about being a kid?

I miss being so carefree, not having homework or assignments to do, just playing all day with my friends and even just being able to sleep at around 9/10pm. Oops, i think that's more than 3.. But here ya go!

11. What shows do you watch?
At the moment i am watching Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, The Originals, 2 Broke Girls and Clipped. BUT, PLL i've caught up totally and am patiently waiting for a new episode every week. TVD, i've also totally caught up and is waiting for Season 7. TW as well, waiting every week. Clipped as well. Only The Originals and 2 Broke girls i have yet to catch up and don't wish to or i would have nothing else to watch HAHAHAAH. I am horrible yes, i do know that.

12. Do you dislike anyone in class?

I wouldn't say i am totally a fan of everyone in class, but i guess everyone has their differences and I am in no position to judge them so i don't exactly dislike/hate anyone i guess. Just not their number 1 fan.

13. Songs you are addicted to now?

Ed Sheeran - One
                   - Tenerife Sea
                   - Shirtsleeves

Gentle Bones - Until we die
                      - Settle down
                      - Elusive

One Direction - Strong

14. What perfume do you use?

I usually use either Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs or Roses de Chloe or Bombshells in Bloom by Victoria secret.

15. Are you sure you're not attached?

HAHAHHAHA. Yes i'm positive. If i was i think i would know.

16. Fav genre of movie?

Hmm i really enjoy comedy and romance!! I don't mind some action movies as well. For horror... Hmm that i am kind of on and off.. HAHA

17. Song you're listening to right now.

Kiss the rain - Yiruma

18. Worst subject in school now?

HAHAHA. Accounting. Math has never been my forte. NEVER. Like ever since primary 4 CA2, my math went downhill all the way. I would always have to work extremely hard for math related subjects in school and math was never something that came to me naturally. So yes, its accounting at the moment!

19. If you could choose one country to go to for free where would you go and why?

UK!!! Because I've never been there and would really really wanna go there. HAHA.

20. What is your most favourite childhood meal that you miss?

Wow this question made me all nostalgic.. When i was younger, i LOVED macaroni and my mum invented (or i'd like to believe she did) this dish which was having my macaroni with campbell soup. The one with mushrooms and potatoes and that would be my lunch almost every day. IT WAS THE BEST EVER. And i've not had that since who knows when... I shall have it soon HAHA.

Okay guys! That's it for today!! If you guys have any questions at all, do drop by AskRachelluee!!!

Running low..

Starting to feel extremely drained out. Like A car running out of fuel. Never was a very morning person so having to go to school so early in the morning everyday is starting to slowly drain every last drop of fuel i have left. Not to mention, i am involved in the National Day Parade (NDP) this year as well. Just like in 2013. So my Saturdays are totally gone. Whenever its Friday i'd be so happy until reality hits me and once again i have no rest the next day. Eventually, i'm left with Sunday. If there isn't work to be completed, i'm lucky. Or i'd be spending my whole Sunday sparring with procrastination. Or rather, having a freaking war with it and nope, it wouldn't be pretty.

On the bright side, i am actually enjoying my Saturdays excluding: the selective horrible spectators, the sun, the heat, the endless walking... But i'm good! Today's Thursday already and the following week i have home based learning week also known as e-learning week. THANK GOD. Was really needing a somewhat 'break'.

Really in need of some sort of coffee drink and drown myself in caffeine right now. I'm in class and actually typing this before my lecture starts.. I barely got myself off my bed today and am literally struggling to keep my eyes open. Ending school at 5 today isn't going to help either.

Anyways, to the rest of you, all the best!!! Just 2 more days till the weekends!

Heartbreak

Tears of blood fall from my broken heart
I never thought we would be apart

When you held me you said "forever"
Now that you're gone I know you meant "never"

Saying you love me with that look in your eye
And that was a cold hearted lie

Your tender touch, a soft kiss
Two things about you I will miss

As I sit here thinking about you
My face is wet with tears past due

I should've cried a long time ago
But I loved you so

I know they say love is blind
But I had only you on my mind

A hurt so deep it cuts like a knife
But wounds heal and I'll go on with my life

This poem is in no way related to me but i felt like heartbreak is something that many people have or is going through. I have never experienced a heartbreak i would say, and i certainly do not wish to. I've heard a heartbreak is almost as literal as it sounds. Having your heart torn into pieces. Almost lethal. In an emotional way of course. As curious as i am to find out how that actually feels, i'd rather not. I find it funny how some people are able to just jump from one relationship to another without feeling at least a tint of having their heart broken. I do strongly believe that we throw ourselves into a relationship for it to last and not to look upon the day that the relationship would end.

I don't like how some people treat themselves after a heartbreak. Self harming is never the answer to anything. I guess we just have to learn how to pick ourselves up and accept that its one of those "life lessons".

Rachel xoxo

Hong Kong Trip '15 Part 2

Hello bunnies!! I'm back with part 2 of this post!!

Day 3:

Okay, so i forgot to mention that my friend Kelly was in town too. Together with her mum and sister. And so, on day 3, both her mum and my mum had some event to attend to and so they left us kids alone. My dad wasn't feeling too well so he just rested in the hotel. Our mums just told us to go out together. Which was very surprising that they were actually okay to leave us KIDS alone in HONG KONG. Kelly and i are both 17 (duh) and her younger sister is like 12. SO YA. Imagine just the 3 of us roaming the streets of Hong Kong. HAHA. It was actually quite an adventure. At first we just started roaming the streets with no aim at all. We then reached this like lane of pet shops and all the puppies and kittens were super adorable. And suddenly it came to me. A DOG CAFE. Since we had nothing to do. So we went to google for a dog cafe in the area and YES. There was one not too far away from us. We then embarked on our adventure. We had no idea if the cafe was still in business and what not and we aren't even sure of the location..

We just decided to take a gamble. We walked and we walked. Finally we reached the area and online it stated that the cafe was on the second level of the building. However, we couldn't find a staircase to the cafe nor did we see any signs of the cafe. We actually stood there for quite a while before actually finding the staircase which brought us right infront of the cafe. It was called 'On Dog Cafe'. When we reached, i wouldn't say the place was in super good condition but the doggies made up for it. They had 3 huge Siberian Huskies and 2 shiba inus one of them was exceptionally huge hahaha.OH and they have a CAT haha which created fond memories for us. (inside joke) But aww they were all so cute. The 3 of us stayed there for around 2hours?.. I can't really remember...

After we had our fun, it was time to leave the place and time to do some shoppinggg!! I wanted to get a pair of white shoes and was on the hunt. So we made our way to Langham place, a really big shopping centre with so many shops. (One of my favourite shopping centres actually! and i was surprised we managed to find it) And we made our way to the sports level. Where they had all the sport shops. In the end i did manage to get a pair hehe. My white nike airs. Because my dad told me if i didn't get it then, i wouldn't have any more time to do so. So i was like okay heck it and i just got it. HAHA. Talk about impulse buying... But i certainly do not regret it. Me being me, i did something super embarrassing there... I still cringe at the thought of it hahahahahahahahaha shit. (Kelly remember? 2k?) HAHAHA i'd rather not let that story see the light of day.

After the shoe shopping, it was time to leave and head back to the hotel as we had to meet my dad and went for dinner with my mum's friends and i finally get to meet my little friend Tiffany again!! The night then ended with dinner and back to the hotel.

Day 4:

So day 4 is my "last" day in Hong Kong and the reason why, is that day 5 only consists of waking up and leaving for the airport.. so yes, sadly day 4 is my last day. It was kind of a slack day actually. We went for breakfast at my FAVOURITE BREAKFAST PLACE IN TOWN!! The Australian milk dairy company... or something along that line i cant remember the English name of the place. haha. My dad brought us there a few years ago and i guess they became more and more famous on social media platforms and now we even have to queue up for their deliciousness HAHA. After that, we just went a little shopping after and then met my uncle and his family for lunch = dimsum again HAHAHAH. Spent the whole day with my little cousin. He's 4 this year, super cute but also super mischievous. We just basically walked around, then went over to my grandparent's place slightly after and later in the evening left to have a last family dinner for this trip and i guess that was about it for day 4!!
HEAVENLY

So that's it for my travel diary for my trip to Hong Kong this year!! Hope you guys enjoyed it!!!
Till next time!!!! Smile lovelies! ;)

Much love,
Rachel xoxo

Hong Kong Trip '15 Part 1

Hey there bunnies! Like i've said, I would be having a post about my trip to Hong Kong!! To me, Hong Kong is like my second home due to many reasons. Okay so, this is my somewhat travel diary! ENJOY.

Day 1.

Tuesday, 23rd June. Our flight was at 7:30am. YES CRAZY TIMING FOR A FLIGHT but we had no choice. So my day started pretty early actually. I had to be at the airport at 5:30am latest, cause y'know the "reach the airport 2hrs earlier" rule. I'm sure you guys pretty much know the airport proceedings and what not so i wouldn't go rambling on about that. We had our breakfast at the airport before boarding the plane and i must say, airport food is extremely expensive. I had a bowl of 'wanton' noodles for like $6?! Okay that being said, it was time to board the plane.

We reached Hong Kong around 11am-ish and took the hotel limousine to the hotel!! We reached around 1:30pm and was told that our room will only be available at 3pm. So we decided to go have some lunch = DIMSUM TIMEEEE!! I apologize for the lack of pictures... Maybe i forgot to actually take any hahahaha...

We actually didn't do much on the first day there. All of us were super tired because of the early flight. Only my mum went out to meet her friends while dad and i just slept till dinner time hahaha. The both of us slept till around 6:30pm and it was time for dinner!! We went to have dinner with my relatives and that's it for day 1 actually! HAHA.

Day 2.

On the second day, my mum decided to go to Shen Zhen with her friends and so we all did. Hong Kong and Shen Zhen is actually surprisingly near each other...Like a train station distance kind of near haha. But, the only thing on my mind was that i needed to SHOP. HAHA. I've heard the things in Shen Zhen are relatively cheap and ain't all that bad. We basically spent the whole day in Shen Zhen shopping and walking around. Towards the end i actually did get some clothes as well as a pair of sandals. YAY hahaha. We then settled our dinner near our hotel and after dinner, my dad brought me to the street filled with sport shoe shops. Mainly because he wanted to see New Balance shoes and me wanting to get a few pairs of shoes myself hahahaha. While my mum went back to the hotel. I managed to find a pair that caught my eye and at first, i left thinking that i'll see that pair again in other shops but i didn't... Eventually, since i couldn't stop thinking about that pair of shoes, i got it hahahaha. It was their LAST pair and just my size. Weirdly all the other shops didn't have this particular pair.. They said it was sold out. I guess I was lucky? haha.

I think i'm gonna stop here for today! The next post will be day 3&4!! Hope you've enjoyed this post!! Till next time! Don't forget to sm:)e!!

Much Love,
Rachel xoxo
